Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Mitchell has worked in the high-tech industry with Fortune 500 companies and startup ventures his entire career. He is a proven business builder, having been appointed repeatedly to transform large global organizations into high-performing growth engines. Most recently, Jeff was President & CEO of Compass Group, a full-service management and consulting company providing advanced SaaS software solutions to a wide spectrum of clients.

Jeff has held global executive leadership positions at Thomson Learning as SVP, Global Sales and Professional Services and as VP, Application Software at Siemens as well as serving as VP, Executive Managing Director, Sales at LexisNexis Group.  He started his career at Xerox, was an executive for the first e-marketplace startup in the consumer packaged-goods industry and has extensive experience in providing Intelligent Data Management, SaaS and cloud-based solutions.


Chief Financial Officer

Seth Murdoch comes to Scan-Optics with over 25 years of diverse global finance and operations experience. He started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen, LLC, a global CPA firm, where he spent four years in the audit practice and subsequently obtained his CPA license. After public accounting Seth held several senior international finance positions with notable fortune 500 companies, such as EMC, where he held the position of EMEA Controller and was based in the UK & Ireland and responsible for managing a $5B P&L and a global finance staff dispersed throughout Europe and the Middle-east. Seth later became International CFO/COO of Polaroid Asia Pacific and was based in Japan for four years. While at Polaroid he managed both finance and operations throughout Southeast Asia and was responsible for a $4.2B P&L.

Most recently Seth was Chief Restructuring Officer at CSC Capital Group, a Global $6B Private Equity Company based in New York and directly managed the restructuring of over 20 companies in diverse industries throughout North America and Asia Pacific. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Wayne State University and an MBA from UCLA. Seth is also an accomplished musician and supervises the operations of a transitional home for homeless mothers and children in his spare time.


Chief Technology Officer

Andy Tran has over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry. His vertical experiences include SaaS, print-and-fulfillment, healthcare, and financial services. Prior to joining Scan-Optics, Andy held senior management positions at leading companies including Equinix, Unisource, Bertelsmann, Microsoft, and the Travelers. He has been instrumental in the conceptualization and architecture of many industry-changing cloud-based online and mobile products. In the last 15 years, he has been hands-on in start-ups, turnarounds, and mergers & acquisitions.

In his spare time, Andy loves tinkering with new technologies while trying to improve his golf game on the weekends. Andy holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and received his Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.


Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Keith Campbell is responsible for overseeing all organic sales & marketing growth initiatives for Scan-Optics across multiple business verticals and strategic channel alliances. His marketing roadmap includes digital communication, traditional advertising, and reseller channel programs. Prior to joining Scan-Optics, Mr. Campbell was the founder of Universal Business, increasing revenue by 460% in just four years. He also held executive leadership roles at W.B Mason Company, including Senior Vice President of Sales, Distribution and Customer Care, over a 23-year period.

Keith holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst.


Vice President, Operations

Matt Gidman leads all operations and production at Scan-Optics. He joined the company with nearly 30 years’ operations experience in a wide variety of industries. Most recently, he spent 10 years leading the operations process team for a multi-billion-dollar advertising and distribution group in North America. Prior to that, he spent significant time in health care working in diagnostic laboratories and diagnostic equipment manufacturing. Before working in the health care space, he held leadership positions with defense contractors and was an industry expert in ceramic bearing manufacturing, starting up locations in Sweden and France.

Matt is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, and holds an Engineering degree from Western New England College. He is an avid sailor, golfer, and skier.
